Carrie Prejean Unplugs on Larry King, Refuses Call from Gay Viewer

During a meltdown on last night's episode of Larry King Live, former Miss California Carrie Prejean refused to take a phone call from a gay viewer. Prejean removed her microphone under the apparent direction of an advisors off stage. "I think you are being extremely inappropriate right now and I'm about to leave your show."

Meanwhile: The anti-gay beauty queen has apparently been caught lying about her XXX video adventures. "Carrie Prejean's ex-boyfriend—the guy to whom she sent the XXX solo video—tells TMZ Carrie and company called him last week and tried getting him to 'lie' and say she was 17 when she shot the video. During an audio interview with TMZ, the man says Carrie sent him the video when they were involved with each other in 2007. He says Carrie sent him numerous explicit videos and insists the one in question was shot when she was 20."

AL House Praises Miss California for Opposing Marriage Equality

Your tax dollars at work. The Alabama House of Representatives approves a resolution that praises Miss California Carrie Prejean for her public stand against marriage equality. The Birmingham News reports:

The House approved the resolution Thursday by Republican Rep. Jay Love of Montgomery on a voice vote. Love said Prejean stuck to her convictions even if it meant losing the pageant.

Love said he has received a number of e-mails and phone calls from across the country since introducing the resolution. He said more than half of those disagreed with the resolution.

The entire Republican caucus supported the measure in addition to "some Democrats", reports the Montgomery Advertiser.

In related news, the Alabama House's Education Committee approves a "bare-bones" budget that "cuts all funding for classroom supplies for teachers—items like chalk, paper and crayons. It reduces funding for textbooks to $17 a student."

The "family values" of the Alabama legislature: No money to buy textbooks for schoolchildren, but plenty of time for resolutions on beauty pageants and gay rights.

CNN's Roland Martin Defends Miss California on AC360

Speaking of prominent black media figures who have yet to make any noise on the two 11-year-old boys who were bullied into suicide ...

CNN's Roland Martin appeared on AC360 last night to debate Michelangelo Signorile on the Miss California controversy. Before watching the clip, make sure you read Martin's CNN column "Miss California, Thanks for Being Honest." The radio host and CNN personality slams "gay-focused blogs" and defends Miss California, Carrie Prejean, because "she has been savagely attacked" for speaking the "truth." Not a very good history on gay issues, that Roland Martin.

Martin also inflates "polls" on AC360 to exaggerate how many Americans are against gay rights and marriage equality.
