Daniel Norell Featured in Kurt Brown's "Man Vol 1"

Just to start off your Friday with a smile and prepare you for that last meeting or your weekend shopping ... Last week, we first mentioned San Francisco-based photographer Kurt Brown—previously profiled HERE and HERE—has created his first book of photography of the male physique, Man Volume 1 and showcased some of the new images of model Kairon John.

One of the other models is Daniel Norell, the stunning Swedish-Trini muscleboy and Rod 2.0 crush object whose sculpted body has been obsessively documented on these pages. Daniel is captured in a several photo shoots in the Pacific Ocean, the desert, and, in Los Angeles. The one below is one of our favorites.

"I broke my record with Daniel, shooting about 1,150 photos in one day with him," Kurt tells Rod 2.0. "There are a LOT of great photos," that will be included in Man Volume 1, he adds, including some chosen by the model himself.

If you're looking to stuff the stockings of that special someone over the holidays, or, to add to your coffee table book collection, Kurt Brown's Man Volume 1 is now available. The oversized book measures 8" x 10" and includes 200 plus pages of color and black and white images.

Daniel Norell's Big Blast

Proving that accessories do make the outfit, Swedish-Trini muscleboy (and Rod 2.0 boyfriend-to-be) Daniel Norell blasts back onto the scene by modeling the latest in welding shield protective couture. It's an interesting complement to the Adidas swimsuit and sway hip action. Even more interesting is the hair on Daniel's abs—that's definitely a first for this model, but, he might want to grow some fuzz in order to be Tom Ford-approved.

Duane Cramer in "The Advocate"

Photographer extraordinaire Duane Cramer covers the latest edition of The Advocate. In "The Summer Sex Issue." the editors preview "Elegant", the new traveling exhibit of black and white photographs by the handsome, San Francisco-based artist. Six absolutely stunning models are shown, including Rod 2.0 boyfriend-to-be Daniel Norell, lensed for Pink.

"Elegant" opened on July 13th in Chicago, around the same time that the Gay Games began. From there, it will travel to San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington DC and Miami.

Daniel Norell: Comp Card

It's been a minute since we checked on Rod 2.0 obsession and boyfriend-to-be Daniel Norell. The Swedish hotness forwards his new comp card from Berlin modeling agency Profestra. The card includes those Pat Lee photos that we ... umm, love so much.

Since his "dress size" (?) is listed as "41", we might as well find a wedding chapel and make this legal. In a recent interview, babe-a-licious Daniel announces in oh-so-sweet fragmented English that he wants to move to that other North American country. You know, the one with low-crime and same-sex marriage where they filmed the movie. "I'm hoping to soon be able to move over to Canada and work with fresh new photographers and talent agencies and see if what that may lead up to."

Fleshbot counts down the Top Ten hotties of 2005 and some of these faces (and bodies) should be familiar to readers of these pages. Rod 2.0 obsession Daniel Norell clocks in at Number 8 with an incredible new nude portfolio that we'll exclusively preview in days to come.

Brian Pumper—the "straight" porn star with the huge gay following—is Number 5. So far, no official comment on the "buy-sexual" rumors that have arisen from performances that demonstrate his ... should we say, flexibility? However, the gayish rumors of Pumpergate continue full steam ahead with flame wars in two of his larger fan clubs. Here's an interesting development: the rumors and backside discussion have generated so much interest that there is now a new fansite devoted to Pumper's best assets. Finally, yet another postscript on the hilarious back and forth, a quote from a Brian Pumper interview: "Anal never did anything for me. But as my sexuality grew, I started liking it." Sure, it's taken out of context—but given the current debate, it's ROFL.

Finally, at Number 3, dreamboat Mar(c/k) Williams, who finally demonstrates his best assets and versatility in a new production. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!

It's been a minute since we checked on Rod 2.0 obsession Daniel Norell. New photos of the Swedish-Jamaican bodybuilder-model are by Pat Lee. So over-the-top. Really lovin' the aviator sunglasses-seventies porn star look, also seen here, here and especially here. (Hopefully he'll keep them on while we ... oh, sorry.) Daniel is really doing the dayumn thing.

Reports say that he is preparing for a bodybuilding competition next month in Göteborg, Sweden. A few weeks away from the contest, we're sure that he is on point.

A few months ago we discussed Daniel Norell's (middle) upcoming trip to the Model Universe competition. There's some good news and bad news. First, the bad: He didn't place. (Awww)

But the good news: There are pictures of him and all the other supa-dupa models from ModelLaunch's trip to the 6th Annual Model Universe, which was held in fabulously gay-friendly Miami Beach.

Sigh. Sorry Daniel, you're a hottie but ... who's that on the left? That's the new hotness.

We've made jokes before about Daniel Norell training under Debbie Allen, but there has always been a hint of truth there. This weekend, the West Indian-Swedish firefighter and bodybuilder will be one of 400 contestants at FAME, the Fitness & Model Expo in South Beach. FAME is an umbrella of several competitions, including Musclemania, Fitness Universe, Ms. Bikini Universe and Model Universe. Daniel will be competing in the latter contest.

You want fame? Well, fame costs. And the price is sweat

Remember when Debbie Allen announced this at the beginning of Fame every week? Daniel Norell must have been watching ... well, maybe not, at 22 he's barely legal ... because it's obvious that he trained at the Debbie Allen school of bodybuilding.

Yesterday, we took a first look at the Stockholm-based, Swedish and West Indian bodybuilder-slash-model-slash-actor-heartbreaker. The above flix are new pictures of the Swedish mocha latte. Daniel has been seriously training for five years, and has appeared in Men's Workout and Exercise for Men Only. Besides part time work as a fitness model and actor, Norell's also a rescue worker and full-time personal trainer ... and calendar boy.

Undeniably much of Daniel's appeal is his mixed heritage. The exotic DNA provided great genetics and made him immensely photogenic. In this recent black and white Berlin shoot, his presentation is ... how to say it? ... confident yet detached. In general, the texture and shadow of b&w film delivers a crisp yet clinical sexuality. Some like it, some hate it ... others such as myself, love it.

Update: More mulatto-Swedish bodybuilders on SixSixSix. Time to call SAS and book those summer fares.
