"I'll never stop looking flawless!" vows Canada's Damian Warner after winning the 100 meter race of the decathlon at the Hypo 2012 in Goetzis, Austria on Saturday. The London-born Warner won the 100m and 110m hurdles with times of 10.59s and 13.78s.
Canada's leading decathlete started very strong but came up short of automatically qualifying for the London 2012 Olympics, reports the London Free Press. "Warner finished with 7,961 points. The Canadian Olympic A standard is 8,200 points. Warner’s total surpassed the B standard of 7,950 and it might still get him to England if no other Canadian makes the A standard before the Games start July 27.
Warner's next chance at qualifying for London 2012 will be June 27-30 in Calgary. Two more photos AFTER THE JUMP ...

Guillermo Martínez is seen above at the 2009 Worlds in Berlin—where he famously performed a few backflips after winning silver in the javelin.
Dayron Robles won gold in the 110m hurdles at the Beijing Olympics. Robles' Olympic-sized bulge became quite the conversation topic across the internets. More recently: Robles beat hurdles super hotness David Oliver on August 5 in London. Robles, Oliver and China's Liu Xiang are expected to fight it out for the gold in Daegu.
The Bryan Clay cover and accompanying editorial for the November Fitness Rx is sooo hot that it hurts. The "World's Greatest Athlete" and Olympic gold medalist is photographed by sports photographer Per Bernal in HD. Clay's "bulging" muscles are literally jumping off the page.
Clay won decathlon gold at the Beijing Olympic Games and says his goal is to set a world record "every time" he competes. "I am going to win the World indoor multi-event in Doha in march 2010 and plan to win a medal at the 2012 Olympics in London."
Confidence and hotness. JUMP for the cover. Enjoy.
Rod 2.0 crush object Leonel Suarez of Cuba takes the silver with 8,640 points for the ten events of the decathlon at the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin. Viva Cuba! Cuba's top decathletes post record scores in the decathlon at the Aurelio Janet Memorial

IAAF reports, "Both posted the highest totals ever for a Decathlon in Cuba as Suarez
scored 8415 points and Garcia a personal best of 8365 points. Suarez set the national Heptathlon indoor record with 5959 points in
early February this year, and Garcia came close with 5905 two weeks
later in Seville."

A triumphant moment for Bryan Clay, who failed to win in Athens four years ago. "I can't tell you how happy I am to have completed something I have been working on for so long. It's a dream come true," said Clay, who hopes to become the first decathlete to win three Olympic medals in London in four years time. "It's the start of something good and if my body holds up I'm hoping to be capable of doing this again in 2012."
