VIDEO: Obama Talks Trump and Mourdock on "The Tonight Show"

President Obama mocked Donald Trump during a taped appearance on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last night.

Leno asked what was the "beef" between Trump and the president. "It all goes back to when we grew up together in Kenya," the President joked to much applause. "We had constant run-ins on the soccer field. He wasn't very good and resented it. When we finally moved to America, I thought it would be over."

The President was much more serious when he addressed Indiana Senate Republican Richard Mourdock's outrageous comments on rape. The Romney-endorsed candidate said that he opposes abortion even in the case of rape because a pregnancy "from rape is something God intended."

"Rape is rape. It is a crime and so these various distinctions about rape don't make too much sense to me," said the President. "This is exactly why you don't want a bunch of politicians, mostly males, making decisions about women's health care decisions."

REPORTS: Donald Trump to "Reveal" Obama "Divorce" Papers

Really? This is going to Donald Trump's "October surprise" that is "bordering on gigantic" and could "possibly influence" the presidential election?

Donald Trump is to claim that he has unearthed divorce papers of Michelle Obama and the President, according to a respected financial pundit with links to the tycoon. It is alleged that the eccentric real estate mogul will claim that the documents show the First Lady and the President were at one point in their two decades of marriage seriously considering splitting up. ...

The claims about divorce papers have previously been made in a book released earlier this year by author Ed Klein. The White House rubbished the allegations then and claimed Klein had a history of making things up.

Even if this were true, big whoop. The Obamas had a rough patch—it happens among many couples—and worked it out.  Serial adulterer Donald Trump is currently with Wife #3—at least for now—and President Obama has remained with his first love and first wife.

Yawn.

Instead of talking about jobs or the economy—which allegedly are supposed to be the GOP’s strength—last week’s media narrative was dominated by questions surrounding Missouri Republican Rep. Todd Akin's outrageous remarks on women, biology and "legitimate rape."

The media chorus demanding answers from Romney grew so loud that the candidate eventually "refused to grant interviews to any reporters who wanted to know about his position on abortion or about Akin," reported Think Progress. "Only four local reporters got to talk to Romney because of his conditions."

What do you do if you're Romney? Try to change the narrative at any cost.

Team Romney’s solution: Distract voters with discredited, racist conspiracy theories on President Obama. Romney test-drove a new dog whistle while campaigning Friday in Michigan. "I love being home, in this place where Ann and I were raised, where both of us were born,” said the Detroit-born, former governor of Massachusetts. "No one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate," he added. The crowd roared in approval.

Privileged much? Voters and politicians have repeatedly asked to see Romney’s tax returns and the gazillionaire venture capitalist has refused—most recently claiming it would infringe on his Mormon faith. Keep telling yourself that, Mitt.

Mitt Romney channels his BFF Donald "Birther" Trump and makes a "joke" ...

"I love being home, in this place where Ann and I were raised, where both of us were born,” Romney said in Commerce, Michigan, standing next to wife Ann and his running mate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI). "Ann was born in Henry Ford Hospital, I was born in Harper Hospital. No one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place where both of us were born and raised," he added.

But we have repeatedly asked to see your tax returns and you've refused. Cute trick to try to change the conversation from Rep. Todd Akin and a woman's right to choose ...

Romney strategist Kevin Madden claimed that the candidate was "only referencing that Michigan is the state where he himself was born and raised."

Mitt “Multiple Choice” Romney’s failure to lead on this issue is yet another data point in a biography that is over-populated with opportunism and cowardice. The man who wants to become our commander-in-chief is afraid to confront the noisy, far-right fringe of his party. Romney appointed an openly gay foreign policy spokesperson last month. The religious right vocally opposed the appointment and a few weeks later the “spokesperson”—that was never allowed to speak to media—resigned.  Remember when Romney shifted his positions on climate change twice in the same week? He’s flipped on gay rights, a woman’s right to choose—sadly the list goes on and on.

So many missed opportunities, which are possibly why Mitt’s negatives are so high, even within his own party. The Republican base knows that Romney is an opportunist—that’s why he’s “winning” the Republican nomination only because a field of even more mediocre candidates self-destructed. Romney won’t denounce Trump’s race-baiting because he doesn’t want to seem like he’s being “punk’d.”  But he’s going to have to address it sooner or later—before Trump’s fringe “birther” narrative becomes the defining message of his campaign.

Donald Trump Says He Will Not Run for President in 2012

The Donald Trump trainwreck is over.

"After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency. This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election. I have spent the past several months unofficially campaigning and recognize that running for public office cannot be done half heartedly. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector.

"I want to personally thank the millions of Americans who have joined the various Trump grassroots movements and written me letters and e-mails encouraging me to run. My gratitude for your faith and trust in me could never be expressed properly in words. So, I make you this promise: that I will continue to voice my opinions loudly and help to shape our politician's thoughts. My ability to bring important economic and foreign policy issues to the forefront of the national dialogue is perhaps my greatest asset and one of the most valuable services I can provide to this country.

"I will continue to push our President and the country's policy makers to address the dire challenges arising from our unsustainable debt structure and increasing lack of global competitiveness. Issues, including getting tough on China and other countries that are methodically and systematically taking advantage of the United States, were seldom mentioned before I brought them to the forefront of the country's conversation. They are now being debated vigorously. I will also continue to push for job creation, an initiative that should be this country's top priority and something that I know a lot about. I will not shy away from expressing the opinions that so many of you share yet don't have a medium through which to articulate.

"I look forward to supporting the candidate who is the most qualified to help us tackle our country's most important issues and am hopeful that, when this person emerges, he or she will have the courage to take on the challenges of the Office and be the agent of change that this country so desperately needs."

The announcement comes less than 24 hours after NBC said it would bring back The Celebrity Apprentice "with a different host if Trump ran" for president in 2012.

I am the least racist person there is ... In fact, Randal Pinkett won, as you know, The Apprentice... a couple of years ago. And Randal’s been outstanding in every way. So I am the least racist person.

Season 4 winner Pinkett, who is a Rhodes Scholar, was indeed the first Black person to win The Apprentice. What Trump forgot to mention: Immediately after he was announced as the show's winner, Trump asked Pinkett if he should "also" hire the runner-up. Pinkett said no.

This is the best Trump can do to prove he has a "great relationship with the Blacks"?

Trump Compares Same-Sex Marriage to "Weird" Golf Clubs

Donald Trump returns to form with some bizarre comments on marriage equality on the day after he was eviscerated at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

At one point, he compared his opposition to the legalization of same-sex marriage to his reluctance to use a new kind of putter.

"It’s like in golf," he said. "A lot of people — I don’t want this to sound trivial — but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive,” said Mr. Trump, a Republican. “It’s weird. You see these great players with these really long putters, because they can’t sink three-footers anymore. And, I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist."

A "traditionalist" who has been married three times.

Earlier this year, the serial divorcee announced that he was opposed to marriage equality and same-sex partner benefits.

Rave reviews for Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers. The Weekend Update host headlined the White House Correspondents' dinner and tore into everyone from President Obama to Juan Williams, Katie Couric and the Tea Party. The President also managed to deliver quite a few zingers.

Donald Trump served as Meyers' primary target of the night. The comedian taunted Trump's potential presidential candidacy, saying, "Donald Trump has said he's running for president as a Republican—which is surprising because I thought he was running as a joke."

Trump was not amused.

One of his final jabs at Trump: "[Trump has] said he’s got a great relationship with ‘the blacks.’ Unless the Blacks are a family of white people, I bet he’s mistaken."

The President also zinged Trump on his birther conspiracies. "Donald Trump is here tonight  Now, I know that he's taken some flak lately but no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than the Donald. And that's because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter, like, 'Did we fake the moon landing?' 'What really happened on Roswell?' And 'Where are Biggie and Tupac?'"

Perhaps the epic moment of the evening was when President Obama played what he described as his "birth video." The footage was a clip from The Lion King which showed the birth of Simba.

The Trump trainwreck continues ...

During a Wednesday press conference in New Hampshire—after President Obama’s remarks about the release of his long form birth certificate—potential GOP presidential contender and birther-in-chief Donald Trump told reporters that the United States needed to match infrastructure investments made by China and other countries.

Inside Edition's Les Trent asked,"Isn’t that what President Obama tried to do with his stimulus package?"

Trump dismissed the reporter, who is Black, by saying,"I know you are a big Obama fan."

Meanwhile: CBS Evening News anchor Bob Schieffer slammed Trump' suggestion that Obama was an affirmative action admission to Harvard. "That's code for saying he got into law school because he's black. This is an ugly strain of racism that's running through this whole thing," Schieffer said.

Trump dismissed Schieffer's remarks and told TMZ, "I am the last person that such a thing should be said about."
