The New York Daily News chats up 27-year-old FDNY hotness Philip Sylvester aka Mr. September in the "Nation's Bravest", the 2012 calendar of firefighter hunks by Katherine Kostreva.
Sylvester talks about hanging out with his hose:
[Sylvester] has been a firefighter with the FDNY for three years. The Canarsie native said he's enjoyed the spotlight since appearing in Kostreva's 2010 calendar. "It's very rare that we get to do a fluff piece like this. Usually our job is around other people's tragedies and misfortunes," he said.
Sylvester posed for the calendar on a brisk Saturday morning last month on a SoHo street sans shirt. He said he didn't mind all the head turns and whistles from female fans because the money was going to a good cause. "It's great to give back to the community. Other people appreciate what we do," he said.
Sylvester also posed with his hose for the 2011 FDNY calendar (below) but says his "humongous derrière" is his best asset. "'Seriously. The female populace tell me it's very juicy.' He has to work at it though, doing 'lots of squats' once a week."
Is it that "juicy"? The boys might have to vote on that ...

"Nation's Bravest" is the first ever national firefighter calendar. Proceeds go toward 12 different charities chosen by the firefighter hunks. The launch party for the calendar is scheduled for August in New York City "with all 12 hunks in the same room."
