Remember Kameryn Gibson, the 18 year old Indianapolis Craigslist escort who infamously hooked up with "sugar daddy" Indiana House Republican Phillip Hinkle? The same anti-gay conservative who "forced the state to offer an 'In God We Trust' license plate" but offered the teen a bonus for a "really good time"?

The Hinkle scandal came to light in August after emails between Gibson and Hinkle were provided to newspapers. Hinkle reportedly met Gibson in an Indianapolis hotel room after responding to a Craiglist ad looking for a “sugar daddy." The conservative lawmaker "exposed himself to the young man and then later gave him an iPad, BlackBerry cellphone and $100 cash to keep quiet," reports the Indianapolis Star.
"Hinkle is married to a woman and has children. He recently voted in favor of a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage and civil unions. According to VoteSmart.org, he also supports a long list of Christianist political goals," adds JoeMyGod. Hinkle's wife reportedly offered the teen cash to keep quiet.
The Republican lawmaker claims that he and the teen "only talked about baseball" and has resisted calls for his resignation.

Charges have been dismissed in the case of Anthony Boyd (above), a former security guard charged in a 2010 theft from Bishop Eddie Long's office at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. One of the co-defendants recently settled a sexual misconduct lawsuit against Long.
"We decided to cut our losses," James told the AJC, saying prosecution would be complicated by Long's reluctance to testify against Anthony Boyd. Also, "the defendant is not accused of using a weapon and doesn't have a bad criminal history."
Boyd, 20, said Long interceded because he was afraid of being called as a witness by the prosecution. Boyd told the AJC that he spoke to Long last week and was told, "You don't have anything to worry about."
Boyd is accused of stealing $100,000 worth of jewelry and electronics, including the pastor's personal iPad and iPhone. Boyd said Maurice Robinson and another former church member broke in to get digital evidence against the anti-gay mega-church pastor for the sexual misconduct lawsuits they were planning to file. Boyd plead not guilty in June.
The four young men—Maurice Robinson, Jamal Parris, Anthony Flagg and Spencer LeGrande—filed sexual coercion lawsuits against Long and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church last fall. Long was accused of using church funds to give the young men cash, gifts and cars. The sexual relationships reportedly began when each of the plaintiffs were around 16 years old. A fifth man later came forward with more allegations.
A judge dismissed the lawsuits on May 27, one day after both sides announced they agreed to a settlement. The parties agreed not to disclose the dollar amount. Since the settlement, two of the accusers have spoken out about Long's hypocritical and predatory behavior.

Disgraced anti-gay mega-church "Bishop" Eddie Long recently avoided trial in four sexual misconduct cases filed against him. Long could be called to testify about a June 2010 break in to his office at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church if a burglary case goes to trial.
Anthony Boyd (above) formerly worked at the mega-church as a security guard. Boyd is accused of stealing $100,000 worth of jewelry and electronics. Boyd entered a not guilty plea to a burglary charge on Tuesday. One of his co-defendants was one of the young men who settled a sexual misconduct lawsuit against Long, reports FOX Atlanta and WSB.
Boyd's attorney, David Fife, said the now-fired security guard had nothing to do with the break in. "He wants to fight these charges. He wants to fight these accusations because he's forever going to have to explain them every time someone does a Google search on Anthony Boyd."
Boyd said [Maurice] Robinson and another former church member broke in to get evidence against Long for a sexual misconduct lawsuit they were planning to file. "So that’s when they burglarized the church, stole the iPad, iPhone and the jewelry," Boyd told Channel 2 Action News in a recent interview.
Robinson was offered a pretrial diversion program where the charges would be dropped if he successfully completed it. Boyd was offered the same program but said he declined the offer because he did nothing wrong. ... Fife said he expects this case to go to trial. If it does, he said, there's a good chance Long will be called to the stand. "He's certainly a witness that would have to be called by somebody. The state or the defense," Fife said.
Two young men wearing masks were caught on the church's video surveillance. Soon after, police arrested Maurice Robinson and Anthony Boyd on burglary charges. "Long asked then-District Attorney Gwen Keyes Fleming not to prosecute the case," WSB reported two weeks ago. "[Lawsuit plaintiff Anthony] Flagg was never charged because prosecutors said they lacked evidence against him."

There is new information about the break-in earlier this year at the private church office of Bishop Eddie Long. You will recall that two young men were accused of stealing jewelry and iPads from Long's office at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in suburban Atlanta. One would later sue Long and become the first of four young men who filed sexual coercion lawsuits against the anti-gay mega-church pastor. Atlanta's FOX 5 now reports more than $100,000 in jewelry was left behind ... and the main purpose of the break-in was to gather evidence against Long.
Sources say the burglars wanted Long's iPad and iPhone. Both were eventually returned, but plaintiff Maurice Robinson told friends and investigators he "copied all the information off the iPad and iPhone" first. The devices reportedly stored critical photographs and documents that could prove the pastor was sexually involved with young men in his church.
Long is accused of luring at least four young men into sexual relationships and using church funds to give them cash, gifts and cars. Subpoenas have been served and depositions have been taken but the pastor is reportedly hoping to avoid litigation and attempting to settle the case through mediation. Embattled anti-gay mega-church pastor Bishop Eddie Long addressed his congregation at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church this morning, vowing to fight numerous allegations that he lured young men into sexual relationships and promising that he will return to lead the church the next week.
Reading from an iPad, the pastor drew thunderous applause from thousands when finally emerged for the first time since the first lawsuits were filed four days ago. Long did not discuss specifics of the allegations and neither confirmed nor flatly denied the accusations. "There have been allegations and attacks made on me. I have never in my life portrayed myself as a perfect man. But I am not the man that's being portrayed on the television. That's not me. That is not me," he said as applause interrupted him.
The pastor of the 25,000-member church—which is the largest church in Georgia and has hosted Presidents Carter, Bush and Clinton—compared himself to the Biblical tale of David fighting the giant. "Please hear this: I’ve been accused. I’m under attack. I want you to know as I said earlier I am not a perfect man. ... But this thing I’m going to fight. I feel like David against Goliath, but I’ve got five rocks and I haven’t thrown one yet."
Bishop Eddie Long is the spiritual mentor of the anti-gay Rev. Bernice King, the youngest daughter of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr and new chair of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Bernice King is also a pastor at New Birth and spoke during Sunday's first service. The June 2006 funeral for Coretta Scott King was held at the church.
"About 100 people waited at the doors of the church more than an hour before the first service. Some held signs of support, while others prayed for their embattled leader. A small group sang the hymn 'White as Snow.' Members in their seats clapped and swayed as the service began around 8 a.m., with several people with microphones singing on stage. Later in the service, hundreds began dancing and chanting, 'Jesus, Jesus.' A small group of young people held Apple iPads high over their heads, with the screens scrolling white letters against a black background reading, 'It's time to praise him.'"
In the past week, four young men have filed lawsuits against Long claiming sexual coercion. Two men live in Georgia, one lives in North Carolina and one lives in Colorado. "At least two other cases are being prepared," a source tells Rod 2.0. The actions claim the anti-gay pastor "coerced" them and numerous young men "into engaging in sexual acts and relationships for his own personal sexual gratification." Over the weekend, friends and family of the plaintiffs have spoken out. Antonio Makins, the best friend of Jamal Parris, the third young man who filed suit against Long, says that he was aware of the relationship and witnessed Long "lavish jewelry, gifts, cars and money" on his then-teenaged friend.
On a personal note, it was totally expected and sadly disappointing to watch thousands of churchgoers applaud a man accused of using their church tithes to buy cars and give cash to teenage boys. Apparently, there is no rush to seek the truth, only a rush to convince themselves that they haven't been lead by a hypocrite. Good luck with that.

Two Georgia men have filed lawsuits claiming that prominent Atlanta-based mega-church pastor Bishop Eddie Long coerced them into sex, reports CNN and CNN.com. Long pastors one of the largest and most prominent Black mega-churches in the country and has routinely spoken out and marched against gay rights.
"Defendant Long has a pattern and practice of singling out a select group of young male church members and using his authority as Bishop over them to ultimately bring them to a point of engaging in a sexual relationship," the suits allege. The pastor took one plaintiff, Anthony Flagg, 21, on overnight trips to a half-dozen American cities in recent years, Flagg's suit alleges. "Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact," the suit says.
Long took the other plaintiff, Maurice Murray Robinson, 20, to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2008 for his 18th birthday and engaged in oral sex with him, Robinson's suit alleges. "Following the New Zealand Trip, Defendant Long regularly engaged in sexual touching, and other sexual acts with Plaintiff Robinson," Robinson's suit alleges. Long spokesman Art Franklin said Tuesday that "we categorically deny the allegations." "It is very unfortunate that someone has taken this course of action," he said. "Our law firm will be able to respond once attorneys have had an opportunity to review the lawsuit."
The lawsuits name Long, New Birth MB and the Longfellows Youth Academy as defendants, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution. According to the suits, the Academy is a program for young men 13 through 18. The suits seek unspecified damages from Long. It is not yet online at the DeKalb County court system.
In June, Robinson was arrested and charged with burglary in connection with a break-in to Long's church office, reports the Journal Constitution. An iPhone, iPad and other items were taken from the office. Robinson's attorney says the theft was Robinson's attempt to retaliate against the pastor. The lawsuit also claims Flagg was moved into a home owned by another New Birth pastor when he was only a high school junior.
The FBI reportedly is reviewing the case, an Atlanta source tells R20.
Long is a married father of four. Known for his extravagance and "routinely preach[ing] sermons dressed in expensive tailored suits and dripping in diamonds," Long and fellow Atlanta-based mega-pastor Creflo Dollar are among the high-profile televanelists being audited by a Senate committee.
If schadenfreude could be compared to a gourmet meal, the bombshell allegations against Eddie Long certainly qualifies as a four-star feast at Le Cirque. In addition to being one of the nation's most prominent pastors, Long is also among the most vocal critics of gay rights and same-sex marriage in the Black church. In December 2004, one month after voters approved an amendment to the Georgia state Constitution that banned gay marriage, Long led a 25,000 person march against gay rights and marriage equality.
Eddie Long is also the spiritual mentor of the anti-gay Rev. Bernice King, the youngest daughter of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr and new chair of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the organization founded by her father more than five decades ago. Julian Bond, the chair of the NAACP and a strong supporter of gay rights, refused to attend the funeral of Coretta Scott King that was held at New Birth MB Church. "I knew her attitude toward gay and lesbian rights. And I just couldn't imagine that she'd want to be in that church with a minister who was a raving homophobe. And I couldn't see myself in my church either."
