R&B singer slash Givenchy model Ciara and MTV's Alani "La La" Vasquez have some words of support for LGBT youth. "If you're gay, bisexual or transgender, it can be tough in high school but it does get better. We know how mean people can be," says Vazquez.
"You're in our prayers," Ciara adds. "We're sending you lots of support."
It's a great video and one of many so far submitted for the It Gets Better Project. The video is bound to resonate across urban cyber-space and to Black LGBT youth, who are disproportionately victimized by hate crimes and anti-gay fundamentalist churches. Ciara recently performed at Atlanta's Black Gay Pride and has many young fans. Lala, in addition to acting and being an MTV personality, is married to NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony.
