WATCH: Model Lamar James in Jay Z Skull Candy Commercial

Superswagger and super-model-to-be Lamar James has the final scene in the new television \spot for Jay Z's Roc Nation/Skull Candy headphones.

Shooting his portion "took less than an hour to shoot including lighting and the different close up to wide shots," Lamar tells R20. "The director, Clifton Bell, is amazing and easy to work with. And shooting on the Brooklyn Bridge is very fun because you have so many tourists from around the world watching you work."

Lamar was last seen in that killer editorial with Shawn Sutton and in that ferosh Sean John runway show. Perfect 10s as he works the Brooklyn Bridge, watch AFTER THE JUMP....

Your Friday morning wakeup call: Rod 2.0 faves Lamar James and Shawn Sutton are among the model and acting hotness captured in a killer editorial by Brooklyn-based photographer Tarrice Love. "Show Me the Light" captures a half dozen black models dressed as angels in all white on the streets of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. 

Above is "superswagger" and super stunna Lamar James, seen in that fierce Sean John runway show and introduced on Rod 2.0 late last year. "Lamar  was my favorite to work with," says the photographer. "He gave me everything I needed in less than 20 minutes."

Model and "It Boy" Lamar James is "The SuperSwagger"

You may recognize up-and-coming model and acting hotness Lamar James from that fierce Sean John runway show. Or from those huge Rocawear billboards with Naomi Campbell in Times Square. Or from the commercial for the controversial Nike Hyperdunk campaign. Lamar aka "The Superswagger" is now blogging about life as, well, as superswsagger. It's a cyber postcard of the life of an "It Boy."  Flying on Gulfstream jets, behind the scenes at a magazine editorial, hanging out with Diddy, random hotness from South Beach and other tropical destinations. You know, La Dolce Vita.

The blog is co-written by Lamar's girlfriend Alexandria—also very stunning and a Victoria's Secret model. You'd better hold onto him, girl. The SuperSwagger is a Super Stunna.

Diddy Hires Only Black Models for Sean John Fashion Week Show

Sean "Diddy" Combs takes a strong stand against the lack of diversity in the fashion industry with his breakthrough Sean John runway show that capped Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Friday. The entire show consisted of black male models.

The new collection boasted fashion forward designs—especially buzz-worthy are the sweaters and high-waist trousers—and gorgeous faces of yesterday and tomorrow. Will Lemay was one of the prominent models walking in the show—he was once the brand's signature model, opening many shows and appearing in the print campaigns.

Models of the moment Salieu Jalloh, Ibrahim Baath, Marcus Lloyd and Wendell Lissimore, all of whom are represented by RED, walked in the show. One of the top bookers at the agency says he is happy the "beautiful black boys were given a shot to strut their stuff. ... There still seems to be a very narrow and closed-minded approach used by many casting agents and designers to exclude blacks and other ethnic groups from their projects."

The real surprise was at the end of the collection when Rod 2.0 fave Tyson Beckford walked for Sean John. Formerly one of the brand's top faces, Beckford has been feuding with Combs and filed a lawsuit against the producer slash designer and his brand. It looks like they kissed and made up. For now.

Beckford attended several shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and told the Associated Press the lack of black models this season has been particularly acute. "What happened to all the black people on the runway? ... There used to be myself, Naomi Campbell, Veronica Webb, Tyra Banks. There used to be a lot of us out there, but today a lot of the designers just aren't catering to black people."

On a final note, several times Rod 2.0 has reported that iconic fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg—whose studio and atellier is around the corner—has always supported black models and designers. Remember her rave reviews for Michael Knight in Project Runway? In her new role as president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, she reportedly has "sent a memo to its members encouraging them to create fashion shows 'that are truly multicultural.' "
