Report: Leona Lewis & Jennifer Hudson Record Theme for SATC2

The buzz is starting to build around Sex and the City 2 which is scheduled for a May 27 released. X-Factor winner Leona Lewis and American Idol's Jennifer Hudson have recorded a duet that may become the theme song of SATC2.

The Sun quotes a production source: "It's being discussed as either the main theme or to feature on the soundtrack. They each have incredible voices and will appeal to both the UK and the US.It's perfect for the next SATC film."

Hudson is no stranger to the SATC franchise having played Carrie Bradshaw's assistant in the series’ first film. Meanwhile, Lewis has become the go-to girl for soundtracks. James Cameron chose Lewis to sing the Avatar theme "I See You." And Lewis’ single "Happy" was featured in Lee Daniels' Academy Award-winning Precious.

JHud and Leona together on the soundtrack? I am so there.

Leona Lewis Covers "I-D" Magazine

This is freakin' brilliant. British R&B singer and songwriter Leona Lewis covers the "Disco Issue" of i-D magazine and is styled in fierce retro sixties glam. In the three-page interview by Paul Flynn the singer retells her rags-to-riches reality show discovery and defends the annoying talent impresario and drama queen Simon Cowell from all critics—"I work very closely with Simon Cowell. He knows exactly what my vision is. When I express my opinions and let him know what I want to do musically then it is heard."

Leona Lewis' first album Spirit debuted at #1 on the American charts and she was the first British female singer to do so. The X Factor winner says she was determined to go international and watched British and American reality shows to learn from the mistakes of others. "I'd watched American Idol. I'd seen what Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood had done and I'd wondered why, in exactly the same format of a TV show, they'd go on to do incredible big things ... and [the British ones] didn't."

The six-page editorial is lensed by fashion photographer Emma Summerton and the fashion director is Edward Enniful. The styling is just fabulous. The bangs, dark eyeliner and mascara are soooo Velvet Underground and Nico. The dress above is Alessandro Dell'Acqua.
