Matt Sanchez is back in the news. The right wing poster boy and former gay porn star known as Rod Majors who has publicly rejected and denounced his former "lifestyle"—except on for those personal ads Manhunt and Rentboy.com—is amplifying gay-based right wing talking points against Barack Obama.
Writing in the anti-gay, social conservative World Net Daily, the former star of "Touched by An Anal" and "Donkey Dick" observes it is the Democratic front runner who has the "gay problem." Sanchez's anti-gay rant is a colorful exorcism of self-hatred:
Like a staph infection resistant to aggressive antibiotics, Barack Obama has a gay problem that will keep returning if only the American media will recognize and examine the symptoms.
The history between Obama and the LGBT movement goes way back. The Barack Obama for President campaign got early seed money from billionaire, gay activist and entertainment executive David Geffen. Geffen gave Obama the pink thumbs-up after banishing the Clintons from Tinseltown. ...
The honeymoon did not last. Obama ruffled LGBT sensitivities when an ex-gay gospel singer headlined during the early days of Obama’s presidential run. Gay activists protested to have the singer removed from the campaign.
The peddlers of pride, diversity, free speech, tolerance and fairness in the workplace wanted the singing black guy fired for disagreeing with them. If that sounds as inconsistent as the vows of two men publicly promising to be monogamous to one another, don’t worry; none of this stuff is supposed to make sense, especially for the first serious biracial contender to the White House.
The imagery of "a staph infection resistant to aggressive antibiotics" is especially cute when coming from the star of "Tijuana Toilet Tramps."
This is a typical, albeit revisionist anti-gay rant for the likes of Sanchez, who never references his extensive gay porn resume or escort career. The former Marine Reserve corporal hits all the notes for the right-wing gay bashers at Wing Nut Daily, including blasting Obama for supporting an end to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and conjuring ridiculous claims of Obama's "gay agenda", which includes allowing "the transgendered to serve openly in the military" and "the right for pre-op transsexuals to get a taxpayer funded sex change." Funny, Obama is supposed to be the one with the "gay problem", but, Sanchez knows all the lingo and issues. Maybe he was up "cramming" all night before the op-ed was due.
On a more serious note, Sanchez's fact-free op-ed is the second recent broadside by social conservatives against Obama's support of LGBT issues (PDF). It seems they are telegraphing talking points for the faithful. If Obama is the Democratic nominee, apparently the right wing attack machine is definitely going to use gay rights as a wedge issue. Be warned.
Thanks RYAN!
