The First Lady confessed that “french fries” and the “Real Housewives” are her guilty pleasures during an appearance on ABC’s Live with Kelly and Michael that aired Friday morning. Obama good-naturedly answered a "lightning round" of questions about everything from what’s inside her purse to what’s under her husband’s suit.

"Oh boy. Please forgive me," co-host Michael Strahan began as he launched into the most revealing question. "For the President, do you prefer boxers or briefs?"

"Um, none of the above,” Obama blurted, flashing an embarrassed grin. "No, I’m just kidding," she quickly protested as the audience cheered.

VIDEO: Former NY Giant Michael Strahan for Marriage Equality

Michael Strahan becomes the latest high-profile New Yorker to speak out for marriage equality . The record setting former defensive end for the New York Giants recorded a video with his fiancée Nicole Murphy for our HRC's New Yorkers for Marriage Equality Campaign.

Says Strahan: "As a defensive end for the New York Giants, I always played the game tough but fair. And I feel it's unfair to stop committed couples from being unfair."

Michael Strahan is a class act on and of the field—especially how he has welcomed gay fans and addressed gay rumors. Strahan has also worked with Gay Men’s Health Crisis to raise money for HIV/AIDS. The community is lucky to have Strahan as an ally.

Strahan also becomes the latest professional football player to publicly support marriage equality. Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Donte' Stallworth came out for LGBT rights and marriage equality in May. Former Ravens safety Will Demps voiced his support in 2006. And since 2009, teammate Brendon Ayanbadejo has been a vocal ally for LGBT rights and marriage equlity.

Michael Strahan Addresses Gay Rumors in New Memoir

Via Jock Talk, the new blog from Out Sports: Michael Strahan, the (newly single) star defensive end with the New York Giants, addresses those persistent gay rumors. Inside the Helmet: Life as a Sunday Afternoon Warrior debuted last week and is described as "venturing into territory no previous football authors had the nerve to tread."

Appearing on ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption, "Strahan told hosts Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon why he addressed the [gay] issue. 'Because they linked me to Tony Kornheiser and I said, 'Come on. I like the guy, he’s good looking, but he ain’t my type,' Strahan said."

Newsday advances Inside the Helmet: Life as a Sunday Afternoon Warrior with a colorful anecdote about Strahan and Ronde Barber—superstar cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and twin brother to Strahan's legendary former teammate Tiki Barber: "Strahan came in for a fair amount of ribbing about the gay rumors, at one point getting this text message along with a photo from Tampa Bay defensive back Ronde Barber: 'I don’t believe your denials. Meet me behind the 12th tee box. Love, Ronde.' "

We've mentioned several times before that Michael Strahan is a class act on and of the field, especially how he has welcomed gay fans and handled the rumors. Jim Buzinksi at Out Sports amplifies the observation: "Strahan, who has a gay relative, has addressed the rumors, using humor without becoming indignant or outraged the way other athletes have and denigrating gay people in the process. Strahan has worked with the Gay Men’s Health Crisis, an AIDS advocacy group, so he knows gays as people and not stereotypes."

Two Men Outbid the Women for Michael Strahan in Bachelor Auction

It's been a minute since we caught up with Michael Strahan, the newly single star defensive end with the New York Giants. It's good to know that he is using his "single" status for a good cause—such as a recent charitable "bachelor auction" to benefit the Institute for Civic Leadership, a nonprofit educational organization. Page Six reports Strahan's walk on the runway created quite the bidding war:

[Strahan] hoped to get a date with a lady, but the male sports fans in the crowd weren't having it. Two guys outbid 13 gals, leaving Strahan to agree to take both men to dinner for the price of $10,000 each.

Sure, maybe these were a pair of Giants fanatics, or, maybe the male couple was just hot for Michael Strahan. (Who's blame them?) Queerty sums it up quite nicely: "Regardless, it's nice to know an athlete's willing to have a date with not one, but two men."

News: Strahan Divorce, "Gay Panic"

The game is officially over for Michael and Jean Strahan. A judge granted a divorce to the New York Giants star and his estranged wife, ending a salacious six week trial that included allegations of adultery, violence and hidden bedroom cameras. The fotball player is now free to pursue his outside interests. (Thanks Bernie!)

· This is the second day of a national conference of prosecutors and police who are discussing strategies to counter "gay panic" defenses. San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris "compared the situation to the blame the criminal justice system used to assign to victims of rape and domestic violence." California and New York are considering bills to deter the common courtroom strategy.

· The 1965 Voting Rights Act won a 25-year extension from Congress as Republicans sought to improve their image before the fall elections. The Senate voted 98-0 after last week's overwhelming House passage. President Bush told the NAACP that he will sign the bill.

Smith and Strahan appear on Wendy Williams to deny the charges. Later, Strahan dodges reporters by going to Crunch, jogging down Christopher Street and dining at Pastis. Strahan confirms his heterosexuality by saying that he is dating Eva Pigford.

· Albany: Assemblyman Ruben Diaz, Jr. has introduced a bill that would nullify gay panic defenses in criminal trials, similar to the California proposal. The Bronx Democrat is the son of Ruben Diaz Sr., the state senator and Pentecostal minister who has repeatedly clashed with the LGBT community. (Thanks Bernie and Andres!)

· Attempting to avoid a split in the worldwide Anglican communion, Episcopalians flip-flop on gay bishops. The new resolution asks for restraint on electing more openly gay bishops and neither conservatives nor liberals are pleased. African bishops applaud the move.

Television personality Dr. Ian Smith confirms his heterosexuality to the New York Post. Jean Strahan, estranged wife of the New York Giants defensive end, once again has claimed the two are involved. BTW, the divorce papers allege Strahan left the operating room while his wife was birthing twins to spend time with Smith—a charge that Strahan doesn't deny.
