The super-talented Bessie Award-winning dancer and choreographer Kyle Abraham is one of the 24 winners of the 2013 MacArthur Fellows. Abraham created his New York-based dance company Abraham.In.Motion in 2006. Many of his works have centered on themes of sexuality, gender and African-American life. One of his latest and most critically-acclaimed is Live! The Realest MC, which explores being Black and gay in the context of hip-hop and the theme of "trying to fit in."
