To help "repair" Tiger Woods' image and "facilitate his wildly anticipated comeback." Srsly.
Two sources in the golf community have told The Post that Ari Fleischer, the former presidential advisor to George W. Bush and the man who was brought in to help repair the steroid-shattered image of Mark McGwire, has been huddling with Woods, plotting a strategy for his return to golf — at the Arnold Palmer Invitational starting March 25 at Bay Hill in Orlando, Fla. “They were in his living room this week going over a strategy for how to handle Bay Hill in two weeks,” one source told The Post.
Knowing he eventually has to stand before everyone publicly and take questions—something he didn’t do in that bizarre orchestrated 131⁄2-minute ramble on Feb. 19—is why Woods sought out the advice of Fleischer, who in 2008 formed Ari Fleischer Sports Communications. The firm, which focuses on crisis response and control, is a joint venture with IMG Sports & Entertainment. Woods is represented by IMG. Fleischer, who served as presidential press secretary from January 2001 to July 2003 before leaving for a career as a consultant, worked with McGwire after the disgraced slugger had gone into hiding following his embarrassing refusal to answer questions about his steroid use before a congressional committee in 2005.
The New York Post neglects to mention Ari Fleischer's other credentials: As the White House spokesman in the lead-up to the Iraq War, the accuracy of many of Fleischer's claims has been disputed, to put it mildly. And Fleischer was an instrumental figure in the Valerie Plame case and later testified that he had revealed the CIA agent's identity to reporters.
Heckuva job, Tiger.
Tiger Woods' latest jump-off—Number 16? Number 19?—hopes to parlay graphic stories about alleged gay sex and bisexual orgies into a seven-figure payday. Really.

Hume tells Woods: "Turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world."

Got wood? Tiger Woods' British lawyers have secured a court order barring publications from printing nude pictures and/or videos of the superstar golfer. The order issued by the High Court of London has been circulated by Woods' lawyers to British publications and blogs, according TMZ. However, the letter claims, the order is not an "admission that any such photographs exist."
The court order, which covers any possible videos or cell phone videos, blocks the publicationof any "images taken or obtained of the claimant [Tiger] naked or any naked parts of the claimant's [Tiger's] body or of him involved in any sexual activity."
In related news: Playgirl has been offered what are purported to be naked photographs of Tiger Woods. British tabloids have also reported that at least two women have offered cell phone or other XXX photos/videos of the golfer.
Up to 12 women have emerged in the last two weeks detailing affairs, some lasting several years, with the golfer who is married and has two children.The count includes at least two porn stars, both of whom, and other women, said Woods insisted on unprotected sex. Following the avalanche of reports, sponsors have pulled Woods' commercials. Woods was last seen in a prime-time ad on Nov. 29 in a 30-second spot for Gillette.

After an avalanche of reports detailing extramarital affairs, commercials featuring golf superstar Tiger Woods have "disappeared" from prime-time broadcast television and many cable channels, Bloomberg reports.
The last prime-time ad featuring the 33-year-old golfer was a 30-second Gillette Co. spot on Nov. 29, according to New York- based Nielsen. Woods also was absent from ads on a number of weekend sports programs, including NFL games, Nielsen said. "Last weekend there wasn’t any advertisement during those games," said Aaron Lewis, a spokesman at Nielsen. The No. 1 ranked golfer’s standing with the public has plunged in the wake of reports of infidelity that followed a Nov. 27 car accident outside his home near Orlando, Florida. Woods’s ranking among celebrity endorsers tumbled to 24th from 6th, according to the Davie Brown Index, which is used to gauge the ability of personalities to influence shoppers. Woods has endorsement agreements with Accenture Plc, Nike Inc., PepsiCo Inc.’s Gatorade, Tag Heuer International SA watches, Electronic Arts Inc. and Procter & Gamble Co.’s Gillette.
Woods is ranked as the world’s fourth-highest paid celebrity and receives some $110 million in annual income from endorsements. Wood's endorsement revenue depends upon his standing with consumers and that value has plummeted in recent weeks. Gatorade has also announced it is shutting down production of their Tiger Woods Focus brand. The sports drink manufacturer tells TMZ the decision has "absolutely no connection" to Tiger's current drama.
In the last 24 hours: There have been reports that Woods' was admitted to hospital after his crash as a drug overdose, that wife Elin Nordegren has moved out of their Florida mansion, and, other women claiming affairs have come forward.
In the early Friday post on the Tiger Woods accident, we noted that it was "somewhat unusual" that Tiger Woods' wife "rescued" her husband from his crashed SUV by smashing the back window with a golf club. At 3am. Can't say this wasn't expected: TMZ reports Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from the accident and they were inflicted by wife Elin Nordegren.
Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol—that should happen this afternoon. But we're told Tiger had a conversation Friday—with a non-law enforcement type—detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant. We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV—but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club. We're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree
The accident capped a rough week for Woods, who is on the front page of this week's Enquirer and Star under the headline "Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal." The tabloids claim Woods is/was having an affair with a former Manhattan party planner previously linked to married television star David Boreanaz.

Authorities say championship golfer Tiger Woods was unconscious and sustained facial cuts in a minor car accident this morning when his SUV hit a fire hydrant and a neighbor's tree as he was leaving his mansion in a gated waterfront community near Orlando, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Tiger Woods' wife Elin claims she used used a golf club to smash a window of his Cadillac Escalade to rescue injured and unconscious husband:
A call report compiled by the Orange County Sheriff's Office and obtained by the Orlando Sentinel indicated Woods was unconscious but breathing when officers arrived on the scene. Woods was unconscious for about six minutes. Elin Nordegren Woods was in the couple's home shortly before 2:30 Friday morning when she heard the accident and came outside. She broke one of the windows and freed her husband from the SUV, Bruhn said. Bruhn said Woods had cuts on his lips and blood in his mouth. Officers gave Woods first aid until medical personnel arrived.
Woods was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in serious condition and treated then released. Florida Highway Patrol says alcohol is not considered a factor in the accident but charges are pending. The details (wife with a golf club at 3am, etc) are somewhat unusual, no?
