WATCH: "Top Chef" Carla Hall on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon"

The fabulous Chef Carla Hall won yet again on Wednesday night's episode of Top Chef All Stars. Carla's delicious chicken pot pie won her a trip to Tokyo, some cash and a cooking segment on Thursday night's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Fallon was the guest judge on TCAS and the cheftestants were tasked with creating a birthday lunch for the comedian, his family and the show's announcer.

This is Carla's third win, after taking home the US Open and fishing challenges. It's also her third trip so far, having also won trips to Italy and Amsterdam. Unfortunately, fellow R20 fave and culinary hotness Tre Wilcox was eliminated last week.

Match point for the fabulous Carla Hall on Top Chef All Stars. The Season 5 finalist and Washington D.C.-based chef/caterer royally served culinary hotness Tre Wilcox, clinched victory for her team at the US Open and won the elimination challenge. Despite cutting off her fingernail and being underestimated by her teammates.

And what a rollercoaster ride for Tre and Carla. Carla was in the bottom of the Quickfire—which Tre won, plus $20,000, but ended up losing later to Carla. Thankfully he had immunity.

Loving this season of Top Chef. The producers are bringing their A-game and so are the cheftestants ... everyone except for Jamie Lauren, who is still in the competition despite not having served a dish twice. smh.

In this week's elimination challenge on the new Top Chef All Stars, culinary uber-hotness Tre Wilcox of Top Chef 3 was reluctant to sleep on a cot because he preferred to "sleep naked." Unfortunately, none of that ... but we were treated to Tre awakening shirtless and showing off what's been hiding under that chef's jacket.

Carla Hall (Finally) Gets Her Win on "Top Chef: New York"

Not sure how many of you are following my favorite television but there was a sweet victory last night on Top Chef 5: New York. Washington DC caterer Carla Hall (finally) won an individual elimination challenge. Oh and an all-expense paid trip for two to Super Bowl this weekend. Touchdown!

Carla—whose random personality and hilarious persona almost makes the show but her performance has been uneven—won in last night's Super Bowl-themed cook-off against seven all-stars from previous season. Carla was representing the New Orleans Saints and won for her delicious crayfish and andouille gumbo over stone ground grits. Very impressive she made this in 20 minutes. The recipe is here.

Last night's episode was one of the best in the season so far. The way it was set-up you almost knew Carla was going to win. And there was no question Jeff would go home for his bland ceviche once he, Stefan (surprisingly) and Fabio were on the chopping block.

This is Carla Hall's first individual win. She has a group win for the challenge two weeks ago at the farm and probably should have won for the second challenge at head judge Tom Colicchio's restaurant Craft. But last night was a sweet comeback from last week's "Restaurant Wars" when Carla was on the chopping block for her surprisingly lackluster deserts.

IMHO The final three will be Stefan, Hosea and Jamie.

"Top Chef" and Top "Bear" Tom Colicchio Sued Over Tips

Tom Colicchio may get rave reviews for his cooking but his employees say the Top Chef is a crook. The celebrity restaurateur, head judge on Bravo’s popular Top Chef television show and love magnet for gay bears across the internets is sued in Federal by a former waitress who accused him of "misappropriating employee tips, withholding some overtime pay and sometimes failing to pay minimum wage."

City Room at The New York Times has the details and a copy of the indictment. "In the lawsuit, the waitress, Nessa Rapone, who used to work at the bustling, moderately priced Craftbar restaurant at 900 Broadway between 19th and 20th Streets, asserted that the company improperly shared employee tips with supervisors, did not keep proper time records and illegally retaliated by firing her when she protested."

Colicchio’s nationwide chain of restaurants— including Craft, Craftbar and Craftsteak—were also named in the lawsuit. Colicchio and his partners earned great success, says attorney  Justin M. Swartz, but "this success, however, has come at the expense of the restaurant’s hourly service workers."

That story—and a recipt from an evening at Craft—should be some food for thought for foodies.

Arrest Made in Brutal Gay Bashing of "Top Chef" Contestant

An update to the brutal Long Island gay-bashing of an openly lesbian Top Chef contestant: Nassau County detectives have apprehended one man in connection with the September 1 assault of Josie Smith-Malave and two female companions at a bar. Twenty-year-old Matthew W. Walli of Oregon was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery. Detectives tell Newsday they recovered a video camera belonging to one of the victims which "apparently pointed in the direction of the suspects inside the bar" and are searching for up to 11 other suspects.

Meanwhile, season 2 contestant Josie Smith-Malave speaks out for the first time.

"They were screaming [anti-gay] profanities, next thing you know they are throwing things at us and surrounding us," she said of the Sept. 1 incident. "Someone was attacking my friend and slamming her head in the concrete and dragging my sister's knees on the pavement and punching her in her face and body. And there was someone running around with a camera taking pictures and laughing."

More brutality described to the New York Post: "The group 'encircled' the trio, started shouting out hateful slurs. such as 'f - - - ing dykes,' threw "sticks, cups and other objects" at the women, and even spit on them before the violence occurred."

Smith-Malave estimates up to 12 men harassed her, her heterosexual sister and her gay friend at the Partners bar in Sea Cliff.
