Pharrell Williams made a quick apology to diffuse a potentially embarrassing situation that could possibly cost him his upcoming Louis Vuitton campaign.
Last week at a VIP party in Milan, Pharrell's bodyguards booted David Furnish, Sir Elton John's husband, because there were too many men in the room. Reportedly, Furnish and Burberry designer Christopher Bailey were with actor Rupert Everett, who was allowed to stay.
It's interesting how the situation has been allowed to escalate. Everyone admits that Pharrell's bodyguards were at fault and the singer/producer was totally unaware of their actions; Furnish adds that "Pharrell said he felt awful" and promptly apologized. Unfortunately, the press and some of our fellow gay gossips are taking this a little too far—calling for a "fag-wa" against Pharrell and hoping to derail his new gig as the face of Louis Vuitton menswear, which he will be doing in addition to designing for the label.
Hopefully this won't happen. Pharrell was smart enough to apologize for his entourage, unlike some rappers. There's no need to try to do the Mandissa—he wasn't at fault.

Yeah, a lot of the gay blogs seem to equate sneezing in the direction of a gay person as a hate crime. A straight guy wanting less men around in a club is a far cry from homophobia.

Yeah, some gay blogs do that, Zeppo. And thank God for them. Somebody's gotta rabble-rouse to keep folks on their toes.
I knew from the start that Pharrell probably wouldn't have intential dissed Elton's man. What a foolhardy thing that would have been.
But he quickly apologized. There is something to be said for internet rabble.

Pharrell can't be homophobic. He just walked out of my house through the back door five minutes ago.
