A few pictures from Johannesburg's 17th Annual Pride, which took place over the weekend.
Reports say about 3000 people attended—much lower than previous events that attracted up to 20,000—and there were some fears that Pride would not take place this year. However, the community opposition to the Civil Union Bill and anger toward Jacob Zuma’s recent homophobic comments seemed to energize many.
Thanks Ramaripa in Johannesburg.
Awww. It's so beautiful to see our African brothers and sisters.
I've been lurking on this blog for a few months. I love tehefact that you cover black gay men across the diaspora, from Paris to Pretoria to Philadelphia.

Yeah Rod 2.0 is definitely my fave web site...Unlike most others who are infatuated with beyoncé as someone once said, Rod covers all topics from all over the globe. You're my hero, Rod.
