While Obama might not have hit one out of the park at the Logo Forum, he did eloquently address our issues, and pointed out that he doesn't only bring up LGBT issues for LGBT crowds, but everywhere, including broaching the subject of homophobia when speaking to a black church. He deserves a lot of credit for such courage, even if his performance at the forum was not perfectly smooth. Is he able to go all the way with marriage equality? No, but he's for all the right but not the word "marriage." That's a hell of a leap forward from the days of hedging support even for basic nondiscrimination legislation, timidly endorsed by a nervous Mondale or subdued Dukakis.

Yes, Obama is tired; he's human, he's aware, he's educated, and he could be a great President or Vice President.
