I'm not fighting for something I don't believe in.
So good luck reinstating a draft.

Actually, now that I think about it, go ahead and initiate it.
The Past (and present) President's , Vice President's, Senators', Governors', and Mayors' children should be the first in line to go.


Seriously, would a draft even work anymore? In a country were practically no one except our "leadership" wants to be in this war, and with the power of electronic communication, I don't see how the government could even enforce such a thing.

There is no political will for a draft. The poiliticians who support this war do not want to see their sons and daughters fight it.


I think the main reason we don't have a draft is that it might lead to the level of uprising we had in the late 60's and early 70's. Political activism tends to get more militant when people are fighting for their lives.
