« Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto Assassinated | Main | News: Oregon, Bhutto, Newark, Rio Ferdinand, J. Brotherlove »

I do not sanction people being killed for any reason. The assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Bhutto being unsubstantially blamed on supposed "Islamic militants" by "President" Musharraf will, no doubt, eventually lead to the much needed regime change in Pakistan, though. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Or, to quote Voltaire, "An ideal form of government is democracy tempered with assassination." I believe the assassination of Bhutto will not be the last assassination that Pakistan sees before freedom, justice and equality are restored (or established) there.

Glad to see you cover this story, Rod. Went to the Wu-Tang Clan concert last night and was disappointed there was no mention of this cataclysmic event - or any other political event of note. Maybe hip-hop really is dead...

Wait Wait WAIT Rod, our beloved President George W. Bush seems to AGREE with Musharraf that it was someone else, most notably Al Qaeda. Don't you watch the news? Didn't U.S. Intelligence confirm this? Musharraf is totally innocent of the charges.
