After recent editorials in GQ, Vogue Hommes and a fierce cover of Paper, Pharrell Williams, the ridiculously talented gay-friendly rapper, fashionista, and designer continues his march toward pop iconography in the current Russian Vogue. Via Oh No They Didn't are scans of PW's editorial with Russian supermodel Natasha Poly that was lensed by celebrity photographer Terry Richardson.
Pharrell is the spokesmodel for Louis Vuitton and the outfit at top is from their collection.
That last image is priceless.
In June, Pharrell Williams covered Paper and "stripped down to his boxers" during the interview.

You know, the world is a different place when you see a fashion shoot of Pharrell Williams captioned in the Cyrillic alphabet.
The poor soul of Leon Trotsky, RIP. What was the revolution even for?

Good call, Jim. The Cyrllic alphabet is such as shocker. And isn't that last pose vintage Grace Jones, like that iconic ad she did for Citroen? That might be before some of your time. Carry on, boys and girls, carry on.

Actually, Miss Jackson, you know who Pharrell reminds me so much of in that last photo?
Nona Hendryx, on one of her album covers.

Too bad he doesn't focus on the craft that got him here, his layouts are nice, but his production is lame these days.
Hopefully, he'll learn to balance this with his musical creativity.-QH

Enough with PW and your schoolgirl crush on him! It seems almost every week you post something about his ugly mug. Sorry, I don't see it. He's gay-friendly - that's great. He's creating shoes and jewelry and doing modeling and carrying great bags - who cares? And where's your post about him getting some chick pregnant? Fantastic. Enough with this guy. Surely there's more deserving subjects out there on which to post.

Ooooh Rod, one of those NYC ballroom queens is upset with you. I guess you dissed her at the club and on the blog.

WMB: Since Monday, there were posts on anti-gay prosecutions in Cameroon, Lieberman at the Republican National Convention, McCain's ad strategy, Obama's poll numbers, the CDC's new HIV stats, problems at NYC's largest black gay HIV agency, marriage, the Olympics, hate crimes ... and this has been a slow week.
If you really read this blog "every day" then you should know its reputation. Both of your comments were BS.

What a blockhead. That's right toots, let's ignore the rappers who are gay-friendly, model Louis Vuitton and speak out against homophobia. Oh yes, and who cares if they design furniture or clothes, let's keep discussing the anti-gay rappers in oversized white t-shirts who are shooting up the clubs.
This blog isn't for the Beyonce and TI fanboyz. Now scram, toots.
