It's time for another preview of FLAUNT, the edgy Los Angeles-based fashion bible whose almost-monthly editorials featuring black and Latino models and actors have become required reading. The upcoming issue features five of the industry's hottest new black male faces (and bodies) modeling the Prada fall and winter collection—Rod 2.0 faves Salieu Jalloh, Courtney Taylor and Marcus Lloyd, in addition to newbies Anderson Noel and Sy Alassane. Thanks to FLAUNT's New York City offices, Rod 2.0 readers (as always) have a first look at the sexy and fashion forward pictorial.
Photographer Kevin Amato lenses the six page editorial. Long Nguyen is the style director. This is the same creative team behind Haaz Sleiman's recent pictorial and Jenry Bejarano's retro-inspired haute couture layout. The Prada editorial is daring, grand and luxe. Edwardian-inspired silks, mohairs and waistcoasts are contrasted with modern styling and post-modern accessorization. Oh and the location is killer—a perfectly restored turn of the century Upper East Side brownstone.
Hot new face Shawn Sutton is seen in the arrest-me red mohair suit. Rod 2.0 fave Salieu Jalloh—recently seen in OUT—is perched on the mantle. The perfect place for him, imho.
Marcus Lloyd—previously seen in Paper's Barack Obama-inspired fashion editorial—is standing in the silk knits and leather cummerbund. Courtney Taylor was recently modeled pecs, abs and Prada for OUT. Courtney is seen again in Prada, this time in a unique silk and Lurex suit for Prada.
The larger men's fashion glossies—GQ, Esquire, Details—unfortunately book very few black models. Compare that record to Flaunt, who books more black or Latino models in one issue than most glossies will shoot in an entire season. Oh and the Flaunt boys (and celebs) are always the hottest new faces—and bodies.
Salieu Jalloh, Marcus Lloyd and Shawn Sutton are represented by Red.
Courtney Taylor is represented by Fusion.
Thanks to FLAUNT's New York City bureau for the preview. More photos in the magazine.

Kinda Star Trekish meets the Jackson's "victory" album but it is fashion- it's not supposed to make sense. THEY LOOK GOOD THOUGH beats the thug look with the played out timbs.

Speakin' of timbs: they all have long feet...that's sexy.

Lang B is right. This collection is extremely fashion forward anmd somewhat theatrical, but, fashion is supposed to be. Prada is always pushing the envelope. Bravo.
