How is that bi-partisanship coming along? Despite President Obama and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sending signals that the public option of health care "reform" is "no longer essential, Republican Party leaders are still not interested. Not even in the idea of "co-ops." Democratic "concessions are just not going to win" GOP support, says Sen. Jon Kyl.
How shocking. Republicans refusing to support a Democratic president. Who could have predicted this?
One thing you can say about republicans. They are consistent.

When is Obama going to figure it out, they are NEVER going to work with him on any issue, he should stick to his agenda and leave them alone. The base/fringe of the GOP does not want them to work with him and that's where their loyalty lies, not with the country as a whole. This groveling to them is really starting to make him look weak, not a good look to have in DC.

Thank you! Stop wasting political capital trying to "reach out" to the obstructionist GOP. The did not want to work with our last Democratic president and they sure in the #$@! do not want to work with our new black Democratic president.
Solidify your base and deliver some campaign promises. Stop compromising on everything to get a handful of GOP votes. Thats costing Democratic votes.
And thank you Luther. The most powerful man in the world should not be catering and begging.
